As Chief Executive Officer of North Sea Midstream Partners (NSMP), Sayma led a >$1bn portfolio of critical midstream assets essential to the UK’s energy security. She also chaired NSMP’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Committee, reinforcing her commitment to operational excellence and industry-leading safety standards.

Carola has an exceptional track record of delivering impactful results over almost three decades in the international oil & gas sector. Her core strength lies in driving complex transformation across both upstream and downstream businesses where she has consistently led and inspired high performing teams to deliver strategic change. Carola brings relentless focus on value creation, operational excellence, and sustainable impact – unlocking performance and positioning businesses for long-term success.
Throughout her career, Carola has demonstrated a strong ability to challenge traditional ways of working using agile techniques and her business expertise to drive transformation. Her strategic thinking, coupled with her structured and systematic approach, has enabled her to design and implement successful transformation programmes that delivered sustainable value within tight deadlines.
Carola's most recent role as VP, Fit to Grow at bp saw her spearheading a segment-wide transformation programme in the downstream business, streamlining processes, data, and systems to boost value for customers and bp. Her efforts led to major enhancements in customer experience, paving the way for growth, and improving data accuracy and process efficiency leading to cost reduction, showcasing her ability to drive tangible results through transformation initiatives.
Prior to that role, she was instrumental in developing bp’s non-operated Joint Ventures Centre of Excellence overseeing 400 NOJVs in 60 countries. This JV management approach has driven JV portfolio optimisation and further professionalised bp’s approach to JV Management, rated industry best practice by the Ankura’s Joint Venture and Partnership Practice.

Peter Young
Peter spent the formative years of his career in banking, delivering complex structuring solutions to meet the varied financing and hedging needs of his clients. He then moved into a more entrepreneurial space, developing a track record of building successful energy companies and securing the requisite funding for them to acquire and develop portfolios of assets. This has included IPOs, private financings, asset backed project funding, infrastructure funding and bond financings. Under Peter’s management these companies have acquired significant resources at a relatively low cost and made material resource upgrades. Peter has built a wealth of trusted industry relationships over his career and will leverage this network together with his entrepreneurial approach and problem-solving mindset to deliver Concordia’s capital strategy.
Peter brings three decades of experience in banking and energy, with a proven track record of delivering innovative capital solutions and driving value across complex financial and operational landscapes. He began his career in banking working in structured and project finance before specialising in structured energy commodities hedging and financing. Peter then moved on to build, scale and fund a number of energy companies, demonstrating an ability to blend strategic foresight with entrepreneurial execution and to assemble and lead large teams of technical and commercial specialists.
Peter’s entrepreneurial journey has been marked by the successful acquisition and development of significant energy assets. Under his leadership, these companies secured critical funding through IPOs, private placements, infrastructure funding, bonds and project finance structures. He has consistently delivered relatively low-cost asset acquisitions followed by material resource upgrades, underpinned by disciplined capital allocation and operational rigour. These accomplishments underscore Peter’s commitment to long-term value creation and sustainable growth in the energy industry.
